On Friday I had my 125,000 major service performed on my 1992 900S at the local SAAB dealership (Beck, in Yonkers,NY). Purely preventative maintenace, as this car has run perfectly it's entire well-loved life. The mechanics did all the standard tests and changed all worn parts: other than this they found the car in beautiful shape (for $700). On Saturday I took it out for a drive and it flat-out DIED without warning - LESS THAN 30 MILES SINCE MY SERVICING! The battery is fine (all electric and lights work), it's got 1/2 a tank of gas, and the oil is new and full, but the engine just won't turn over. I had to get AAA to tow it back to the dealership ($80), which was of course closed for the weekend. On Monday morning I will be standing there alongside my dead car to have a talk with the service manager. If you have ANY thoughts, heads-ups, ideas, warnings or similar problems PLEASE WRITE BACK ASAP!
