Bill, You don't say if yours is a 5 spd or auto...I have an 87 9000S 5spd myself...If you have an auto the transmission fluid and filter need to be flushed and changed according to my Haynes manual. The 24,000 mile or 2 year interval also calls for replacement of the air filter element, ventilation air filter renewal. Other things to be checked include brake pads every 12,000 miles or 12 months, spark plug renewal according to Haynes, and if it were me I would flush the power steering fluid, brake fluid and coolant...If you think the dealer is a bit pricey, check out Auto Parts International in Odenton, (410) 551-1400...There service is excellent and prices are a lot better than the dealers.
