Some good news, I had a similar problem with my 86 900 turbo which is essentually the same car. it was something called the master slave cylidar. A part that was only about $150 and the labor was not much more than an hour. All I do know is the clutches on these cars last a long, long time. My 900 turbo has 230,000 miles on it and the cluch works like new and I live and have lived the majority of the vehicles life in San Francisco. i can't think of any place on earth that can put a clutch trough more hell than the hills of San Francisco. If that's not it, be sure the adjustment is set properly for the cluth. Many people replace clutched prematurely. Good luck I hope I was of some help. Dominic
