Subject: CRUNCHY FRONT END

When the temp dips below freezing, I've noticed that the front end of my 95 900s makes *loud* crunching noises when going over bumps. The first bumps are really loud and then as the car warms and more bumps are crossed, the noise stops (takes about 5-10 minutes). Most of the noise is from the drivers side but I can hear some from the passenger side as well. I don't park in a garage and have only noticed this occuring when the temp is below 32 degrees F. For lack of a better description, it sounds like an iceberg cleaving. Any ideas?
