Justin, While I wouldn't go about modding it myself, I WOULD trust the Abbott Brothers to take the care to do it right, and within reason. That's why I was willing to pay them a fairly significant amount of $$ for my Trionic upgrade. If the V6 is only running 3 psi, I'd be willing to bet it could handle a few more. Not the 17-19psi I'm running on my NG (which is probably higher than I should risk, but I don't often push it over 15 psi), or the 15-20 psi people run on their C900's but maybe 6-10 psi? As nice as the V6t is to begin with, a few more pounds of boost, w/appropriate fuel addition/management from the Trionic, doesn't seem out of the question. HOWEVER, the traction control system on the 9-5 V6t will prove useful in low speed throttle applications. I suspect that a significant part of the reason the V6t only runs 3 psi (which I'm taking at your word, I have no idea) has nearly as much to do with marketing as with engineering. Saab would be just as happy to stick with the 2.3 LPT but the market demands a V6 in this segment. Buyers who will never even open the hood, and wouldn't know the difference WANT a V6 engine, despite the fact that the 2.3 LPT is an amazingly smooth and powerful engine. The marketing of the 9-5 is as a luxury sedan that's sporty. The marketing emphasis is no on the performance potential of the car, despite our enthusiasm and the car's potential for higher performance. This would also be one reason the V6t is only available with the auto box to begin with. I'd be willing to bet, that as production ramps up, and initial demand is fulfilled, we'll see a 5 speed V6t, and eventually a HOT V6, as we have finally seen a 200 hp 2.0L. However, this is all moot, as Abbott doesn't yet list on their site ( http://www.btinternet.com/~abbottracing/ ) any upgrades for the V6t. With the Trionic system, I believe all of the changes are EPROM, there are no DIY pots to twist, as in the older C900 APCs.
