I have a 1987 900 with an 8-valve engine with 73K miles, 5-speed manual transmission. It now needs to have the head gasket and crankshaft bearings replaced. The car was not driven hard over the years. Anyone have experience with this 8-valve model of the 900? I've talked to many people that have the 16-valve version, but not the 8-valve model. This car has been nothing but headaches since the 60,000 mile major service with a new fuel pump, water pump, warm-up regulator, ignition coil, and cold start valve. Any comments or advice is greatly appreciated. J. R.
