Alan, I hope you had the car checked out by an independent Saab tech before you bought the car. If not, then that is the first thing I would do...When I bought my 87 9000S last year I baselined the car. Changed the oil and filter and flushed the coolant. Flushing the power steering fluid is not a bad idea either. It can help extend the life of the rack. If yours is a 5 spd or automatic, I would want to start with fresh oil in the 5 spd or fresh fluid in the auto. Ken Washington 87 9000S 87 900S 83 900T
