A quick fix. Doesn't cure everything, but might make sure the car doesn't stall when the engine is hunting. You can remove the air-mass meter (by way of the air filter canister) and gently spray carb cleaner on it. Careful not to break the wire inside, then you will have to go and get a new air-mass meter.
