If it indicates no problem with either its own circuitry or any of the sensors, it could be a problem in the wiring harness, or even the ACC itself (I don't trust a defective unit to correctly diagnose itself). The dealer won't/can't repair the unit, only replace it. The ACC receives input from several sensors: 1) outside temperature comes from the trip computer (EDU), using the outside sensor behind the front bumper 2) mixed air temperature (inside air ducts) 3) interior cabin air temperature (on the dash) 4) sun sensor (on top of dash) A full description of the ACC and service (including all of the fault codes) is in manual "8:3 Automatic Climate Control ACC 2" which I don't have.
