On the scandinavian market Volvo themselves produced a bolt on turbokit for the B19-23A engines. In some of this kits two headgaskets was included to lower the comp. ratio. I have used this solution on only one car, a VW Golf GTI turbo. It produces 186,7 HP (dyno) and has now runned 56K kms. with double head gaskets. The main reason for a head gasket failure is lean A/F ratio and/or bad ignition curve and of course to high boost pressure combined with low octane fuel. Ivar Finnvik Norway
