Subject: Speedometer reading and other 9000 questions

Hi guys, I have just acquired a '95 9000CS which was a lease return. I notice that when I go on the freeway, the speedo reading seems suspiciously high - hitting 85mph when I'd think it's more like 75 or so on other cars that I have driven (namely, a BMW M3, and Audi 80). I have felt the same way about a rental '92 Nissan Maxima that I have driven a while ago. I think there is a law that requires speedo readings to be within 0-5% above the actual speed at 55 or 65mph. Is the Saab's reading on the high end of the range? The other questions I have are: i) The rear brakes squeak, something that I only just noticed. I'm going to check the thickness of the pads. But could this also be due to other things like warped discs? ii) The hazard light switch either doesn't work or has a weird way of working - the hazard lights would only turn on if I have the left turn signal on along with the hazard switch. Now that I think more about it, it's probably not working properly because the left turn signal would only work with the ignition switch on. Is it easy to fix this? I have ordered the Haynes 9000 manual. I guess it's not the regular softbound one that you find at Grand Auto type stores. Hope it works for me. Thanks Calvin
