I didn't see the original message, but '85 was the first production
year of 9000s in Europe - the U.S. didn't see them until '86.  There
are some "1984" 9000s running around though - at least a couple
prototypes and surely a few 1985 model year cars that were actually
built in 1984.  I believe production on the 9000 started in November
or December of '84.
