Cowl shake is when the A pillars shake torsionally over bumps...its common on convertibles. The 9-3 convertible is much less torsionally stable then the sedan or coupe. I have a 4dr, and I've been in a convertible. I must say I found the cowl shake quite perplexing, esp when they charge such an enormous premium for the convertible.
