I agree with the CV joint diagnosis. It's a relatively expensive repair. Rather than repair the part, I have had the CV cage turned around and used -- if the scoring on the inside is not bad. If its a bearing then the sound should go away when "turning to the side with the sound." Something about the weight of the car shifting off the bearing as the turn is executed. Michael
