Trollhattan Motors out of Baltimore MD (301)-682-4688 used to sell a kit consisting of fabric, spray adhesive (3M Super Trim Adhesive) and instructions. The kit was about a hundred bucks. I did it in '94. Still holding in '99. The problem is that the foam backing on the fabric turns to (orange) dust. The headline droops 'cause the cloth has nothing holding it up. A serious design flaw. Every 900 seems to have it. The replacement fabric is also foam backed and grayish rather than the white. The original equipment would be hard to find. The kit covers the headliner and the rear panels. They don't recommend you do the sunroof... It is not easy to get the old headliner out in one piece -- even from a hatchback. I think you need to remove the rear window from the coupe version... You must be very careful not to excessively bend or crack the molded fiberglass shell. You're in deep you-know-what if you do. It's prone to breakage between where the holes are cut for the dome light and rear view mirror and the sunroof. Then -- you must remove the old and rotten foam-backed material before gluing the new stuff on. This may be easy or not depending on how well rotted your foam backing is... Applying the fabric wasn't too bad. Patience and common sense were all the tools needed (and I'm usually deficient in both!) I must say, it turned out very nicely in my '86 900T. A professional upholstery job would have been far more expensive. There are of course other solutions depending on what kind of shape the car is in otherwise (buttons, wood strips, duct tape). Good luck... -Brian
