Oddly enough, I've noticed the exact opposite trend. Every single loss leader that's advertised at any sort of a reasonable price seems to have a stick, and if you can't have a stick because you live in an area with chronic traffic jams or something else, you have to go to the dealership and shell out a couple of thousand more dollars for anything with an automatic transmission.
