Subject: Re: Turbo Problems :( Help?

I found that part of the gasket seems to have deteriorated on one of the water jacket holes. This caused some leakage into my #3 cylinder. As far as why it happened. The car ran great since I bought it a year ago and was just on a 2000 mile trip at the begining of January with no problems at all. Maybe the trip pushed it over the edge. When I removed the head, I really did not dismantle the turbo at all. I removed the manifold and turbo as 1 unit. seperating the turbo at the air intake. Slid the head out. (sounds easier then it was :P ) then replaced gasket. Turbo worked great when the gasket blew. I am going to seperate the manifold from the turbo to make sure the exhaust is free of any obstructions. This is pretty easy now that it's been remove once before. On Wed, 10 Feb 1999 18:27:48 +0000, Roger Beckett <rogerbeckettnopsameinet.co.uk> wrote: >Thomas W.
