Subject: '98 900 SE turn signal flash interval (left is now faster than right)

When making my first left hand turn of the day in my 1998 900SE this morning, I noticed that the left signal is now flashing/blinking at about twice the speed that it used to, which as I recall was the same as the interval between flashes when making a right turn. What would cause this? Is there a relay to check or is this controlled by "ICE"? Within about a month I will be heading in for my 15,000 mile service, any reason to think I should head in sooner to have this turn signal issue invesitgated...Electrical issues always cause me to fret. TIA, bam2
