I have a 85 900/16valve turbo aero... Had the same sound, and drove the car untill it sounded like a russian tractor from 1950, Then I contacted my local mechanic, and we had to pull the car to his fixjoint... It is the chain controlling the valves that has to be changed, I was that close to completly damage the whole engine. Here in Norway I paid almost $3.000 for the fix... -- ---------- In article <36bf54d8.7658661nopsam.earthlink.net>, Bob_Landrynopsamoot.com (Bob Landry) wrote: > On 8 Feb 1999 07:36:37 GMT, "enter your name" > <your.email.addressnopsama.com.au> wrote: > Followed shortly by your hearing? ;-) >>I just turn my radio up until the noise goes away. >> >>Bob Landry <Bob_Landrynopsamoot.com> wrote in article >><36be69ac.1871044nopsam.earthlink.net>... >>> On Thu, 04 Feb 1999 14:49:51 +0000, Steve Porter <SPorternopsam.co.uk> >>wrote: >>> >>> >I've just purchased a high mileage 1985 900 16V turbo.
