Subject: Re: 1990 9000T Timing Chain job price?

I have seen cost prices as low as $250 for having a new timing chain rolled in, to about $1100 to have it properly installed with new guides. This has come up in this newsgroup and at the www.saabnet.com Bulletin Board. The first thing I would do is find a good independent Saab tech to get a second opinion. Let people know what area you are in, so they may be of some help. Here in the DC Metro area, I recommend Swedish Specialists in Northern, VA, 703-550-7777. If you are in Maryland or DC, I suggest API in Odenton, MD, (410)551-1400. Ken Washington 87 9000S 87 900S 83 900T
