I have not lived in Sacramento since 1976, but it seems some things don't change. The dealer's ding for being 7000 miles from the next service was a load of crap. I can promise you the dealer can service the car for a lot less than he charges you. His cost for parts is less than the wholesale price you would pay as a mechanic and most buy their oil and other fluids in bulk...The last time I bought a new car in Sacramento was in 1972.
