IMO, the turbo is much more fun to drive, but may cost you a bit more in maintenance and repairs. The higher torque of the turbo 9000s is not very kind to the ZF auto trannies or the motor mounts. Both can be very pricey unless you're a serious DIY'er. Quite frankly, unless the mileage is under 120K *or* you know the tranny has been recently replaced/rebuilt, I would avoid the car unless it's a serious deal. Likewise, if it has over 100K, I would check the condition of the motor mounts before proceeding. Also known to "go bad" on early 9000s: window regulators, heater core and blower motor, A/C compressor. -Doug '86 9KT 5spd '89 9K CD auto (ugh!)
