Subject: Gear selection problem



I have a 1986 900 16v Turbo.  Gear selection isn't smooth at the best of
times, but when the engine is cold, it's almost impossible to select
2nd. I was wondering if this was anything to do with the clutch - the
pedal has a couple of inches movement before there is any resistance -
if this isn't normal, is any adjustment possible?
