Subject: Electric engine fan won't stop running...

Hi Everyone, I have a 1991 900 (no turbo, no S). Starting a few days ago, the electric fan (normally only comes on when the engine is hot) goes on as soon as I turn on the ignition and stays on the entire time. After I turn off the ignition it continues to run for quite a while and then (seems) to stop. I say seems, because it ends up draining the battery. For the short term, I have since disconnected the wiring attached to the fan. Things are much better :-). Anyone have any idea what's going on. As we're approaching nicer weather, I don't like disabling the fan like this. Is there a sensor that might have gone bad? Is this a job I can tackle on my own? Any and all help appreciated. Thanks in advance. -- Steve Ostrove ostrovenopsam.edu
