I had the same on my 88T 3door but the mech was frozen. The lock moved and the connector was dangling nut the plastic part wouldn't move in the track. I took the whole assembly off the car (plate lights/latch handle and all - BTW an $84 dealer part) then pounded out the plastic slider and cleaned it up a bit. Took emery cloth & steel wool to the metal track. After it was all cleaned up I lube the track and plastic slider with White Lithium Grease from the parts store. Put the whole thing back together and it's been flawless ever since. I did pick up a spare one day in the boneyard though, the guy only wanted $5.00 for it so I figured what the heck. If it's a 3-door hatch and your assembly is beyond repair check the boneyard. The one I got was of an '86 900 but they are defiantly the same. BÅ wrote in message ... > >Adriano V.
