Dear Mike, You drive 4-5 miles without power steering ? Do yourself and other road users a favour and get the rack changed. There are no additives or quick fixes unfortunatley the alloy of these early racks gets worn out by contaminants and the action of the seals - the later ones were steel and lasted longer. A recon rack should be about £75.00 its a real messy job to DIY - a Saab specilist should be able to do it for about 3 hrs labour. John
