The quoted reply was not directed at me, but I got a recommedation for 20W50 from the dealer where I bought my car new in 1983. I believe the idea was that it gets prettyhot around here (California) so protect the turbo. I don't have the credentials to judge, but I'm still running that engine and turbo.
