I've had 5-speeds with both Redline and 10-30W dino juice, and the difference in shifting performance is negligible. The only real improvement is during really cold weather, and even that disappears after the engine/tranny have warmed up. The drain for the tranny is distinguished by the fact that it is round, with a square indentation that a 3/8" drive breaker or ratchet fits perfectly. Just like with the engine, warm it up first. Also make sure you have a new copper washer (dealer item, about a buck) to go on the plug. Oh, some folks say that Slick 50 P/S fluid will help with leaks/stiffness. YMMV. Have fun!
