Make sure your rear lights are working as well.    I once owned a 79 AMC
(YUK!) and the instrument lights went out.   I didn't think anything about
it until to police pulled me over for no tail lights.   It seems they were
on the same circuit.    I've only owned a Saab for about a month and I'm
still a newbie at it! :-)
