CPD The original post was to BOTH alt.autos.saab & alt.auto.bmw It seems your attention to detail is reflected in your choice of automobile However to the original poster; test drive a lot of cars; if you're in the USA dealships tend to be more soft sell now making the shopping experience much better. Everyone is looking for something different in a automobile; I remember in 1974 [i was just 16] and I convinced my dad [53] to look at a 1971 Ferrari Dino! He loved the car, until he tried to get out of it - "to low; I can't see getting out of this everyday". End of Ferrari - still a Jag man [go figure]. I love my new '99 323i w/sport package; I love the fact it looks like a Honda Accord at a quick glance [stealth!] and it gives me a feeling of control and security I have yet to find in other cars. No car is perfect, but the 323i excells in areas which are important to me. Elanchelvan - please note, the different packages [sport/lux] seem to make a huge difference in the feel of the bmw, I suggest you drive a 328 with each.
