Subject: '89 900 Clutch replacement

Hi everyone - I thought I would try a weekend clutch replacement on the SPG and got stuck real quick. I am attempting to withdraw the input shaft using an 8mm bolt, washer, and pry bar (ball joint removal tool) and it won't budge. I even put a four foot floor jack handle on the pry bar and it still won't budge. I've never done this before and thought that maybe I have over looked something. Here's what I've done so far: removed plastic clutch cover removed and re-routed hoses and wiring depressed clutch pedal and inserted #6 ground wire around pressure plate fingers. removed retaining spring, cover, and slinger threaded 8mm bolt and washer into slinger hole I'm having visions of the pry bar letting loose and planting itself in the radiator. Does anyone have any advise? Thanks - Bob Coleman
