Joel, You say the ATF was low when you bought the car. That was not a good sign. Did you have the fluid and filter changed in the AT. This should be done every 24,000 to 30,000 miles. I just replaced the tensioner pulley on my 87 9000S. It can make a difference. Last week the bearings on my pulley locked and broke the serpentine belt. If you follow the Haynes Manual directions for changing the pulley and belt, it is really easy. Check your vaccum lines, motor mounts and it may be time to clean your throttle body/throttle plate assembly with some Berryman's B-12 Spray Carb and Choke Cleaner.
