The advertising fee is levied by the manufacturer, not the dealer. It's part of every invoice on every car sold in America, and it's why you see so many car commercials when you turn on your tv. If you want to negotiate something, go for "document fees" "dealer prep" and the like. Advertising is just like destination charge: part of the dealer's cost of the vehicle.
