A '71 Bavaria was the absolute worst car I ever owned. It blew a head gasket at 86,000 miles despite meticulous maintenance (head bolts torqued every 30k, etc.) After dropping $3,000 for a new head and pistons, the universal joints on the drive shaft went bad. I got that fixed (new shaft--the u-joints aren't replaceable) and sold the car to some other poor soul. And the trailing throttle oversteer on that car could be very "entertaining" with company on board. I know the new BMW's are much better than they used to be, but I've already paid enough to the BMW mechanics. When my '88 9000T isn't fast enough, I just hop into my Cessna 182...
