You will hear strong debate. There are those who are ardent about NGK
plugs. I have used Bosch Platinums in all three of my Saabs, 83 900T, 87
900S 16V and currently in my 87 9000S, without any problems. My owners
manual from my 87 900S shows NGK BCP7EV for the 16V turbo for normal
driving. For city driving it is the NGK BCP6EV. Which ever brand of plug
you use, make sure it is the proper heat range. My 83 900T came from the
factory with a gap of .026.  For the non-turbo saabs I use .028.
