Have a 1989 9000 Turbo Manual 5 Dr. and Love it. Lots of pep, and LOTS of room. But family demands require another vehicle. Went to test drive a 9-5 a while back on a hot day, and found it sluggish and underpowered. Guess I will have to wait for a better engine, preferably a full turbo. What baffled me even more than the lack of a full turbo and adequately sized engine was the bizzare radio design. The radio unit was a non-standard design so no aftermarket improvements could be made. What was on the designers mind? The stock Clarion system I have in my current Saab was mediocore at best. A pair of 320i ADS speakers helped out quite a bit, but I swore that if I ever bought another Saab, I will fix the radio Day 1 rather than listening to the stock version for years. Who wants to be stuck with a non-standard non-replaceable radio with technology changing as rapidily as it is? Does anyone know if there is a full turbo 9-5 coming, and if so, any chance that Saab engineers will rethink the non-standard Radio?? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks Dan
