According to a friend who's job it is to know these things -- as of last year, there have been zero fatalities in Saab 9000's in the US. And despite the US media's constant fawning over Volvos as the "safe choice" -- year after year, the Swedish insurance institute reports Saab as the safer of the two. r600nopsamejanews.com wrote in message <7ev063$g2q$1nopsam1.dejanews.com>... >Here's a press release from HLDI that says based on actual accident records >(not just lab crash tests) that the 900 3/5-door and Convertible are safest >in their classes. better than Volvo, Audi, BMW, Lexus, Infiniti,Acura, etc... >Here's the release. > >Saab 900 tops American crash safety statistics > >According to a recently published study of road accidents in the United >States, the Saab 900 is the safest car in its class.
