Leon - this is an easy job. Any shop that deals with front wheel drive cars should be able to handle it. The homokinetic couplings are referred to in the U.S. as constant velocity joints or CV joints. The new joint and boot should be less than $150 US but I am not sure how much it costs to have a shop do the job. I don't recall any special tools being required, except for maybe a circlip pliers, but you should purchase a service manual. The HAYNES book from England will work well.
