Subject: Re: 94 Antenna problem

Thanks for the advice. Here's what I did: I removed the entire electric antenna unit, diassembled all parts. The long nylon toothed straight gear had broken off about 4 inches from the end. I surgically repaired by doing the following operation: Clean and sanded 2 inches on both ends where broken. Then, using some fiberglass cloth tape (I use it on my Radio Control planes), I glued it carefully over the two sections using CA glue. Holds very strong. Reassembled, and pray. Viola!! Works like a charm. Saved myself 40 dollas for a replacement mast, and trip to the dealer. The whole deal took 1/2 hour. Regards, SR >The very same thing just happened with my '94 900S.
