I think this varied quite a bit depending on what country you reside in. In the USA, as I recall, it goes something like this: 1) If it's a 9000, it's not an SPG (package was only available on 900's) 2) '85-'86: SPG package only was appearance items: special 3-spoke wheels, ground effects, only available in black or charcoal(?). SPG package also included all the other optional equipment: power sunroof, leather seats, foglights, etc. 3) '87-'88: Same as earlier plus "improved handling" suspension which included lowering springs and different shocks. 4) '89 on: Same as earlier plus increased turbo boost = more horsepower. Many people think all SPG's have increased power, this just ain't so! Only the later ones.
