Subject: Re: '92 900S conv, 70K miles, 3 sets of tires. Normal?

The set that came with the car were Pirelli P2000 (I think - I know they were Pirelli's). They wore out somewhere around 17,000 miles. They had a treadwear rating of 220 (roughly like pencil erasers) so I wasn't too surprised to see them go that fast. I replaced them with some Nokia's from my Saab dealer (don't know model) and those lasted longer - around 25,000 miles. This last set were Dunlop D60 A2's and lasted this last 26,000 miles. Unfortunately, I'm starting to think that this is just the norm with these suspensions and the way the cars are built. I'm going with a Michelin net time, the X-One, its got a treadwear rating of 620 so I'm hoping to get them to last over 30K miles. > What brand of tires do you use?
