I managed to get it gassed for £60

However, when the compressor started it was VERY noisy, and was not able to
pull all the required gas in.

It does work, but because the compressor is not compressing enough, and
because there is not enough gas in, its not as cold as it should be.

The compressor had not been run for 12 months - do you think that it may get
quieter, and may start to work properly (ie giving full compression?) - or
should I replace it??
