>>My drivers window now fails to close. Its about 1/4 inch shy of the rubbers, the motor makes a clicking sound when it gets this far. Is this something anyone has had before? Just thought I'd ask before I pulled the door apart.<< Tony, I will bet the farm that your problem is due to the bottom couple of teeth on the window regulator's driven gear having been worn away, and no longer fully engage with the motor's drive gear. This is the clicking sound you are hearing. When the window is all the way up, these last couple teeth are the bottom most point of the driven gear, so any moisture that collects on the gear runs down and "hangs" on those bottom teeth, eventually corroding them away (after about 13 years <g>). The most economical repair is a used regulator unit from a scrap yard, about $75 U.S. Craig
