Ted, On the 2.1 L, make sure that the services have included regular coolant changes... I've been told that these particular engines have had "an epidemic" of head gasket problems. My 1992 900S is patiently waiting for one as soon as 1) I find an extra $900 in the sofa, or 2) it gets worse than the dribble it currently has. Mine sat for 5 years/ 5000 miles without service and got eaten away... Other services performed on my '92 included, a new water pump, new belts, alternator bushings, and a valve for the windshield washer fluid resevior. Good luck!
