I have the same problem, '85 SPG 230K miles (1-2 synchro bad) I bet the reverse brake on the stick doesnt work either. Honestly, it is not that big of a deal; if you are grinding you are damaging, if you double clutch and mellow out a little, it will not affect the life of the trans. If it really bothers you then bleed the cluch cylinders, and make sure the clutch is functioning completely right. Come to think of it, if you just had the shit replaced a couple of months ago it would do you well to bleed the system thoroughly and it may fix it. Unless it went low on gearbox fluid or you just beat the shit out of it, the synchro shouldn't be bad yet. Anyway, it's really expensive to rebuild the trans, and unless you have a buddy, can do it yourself, or are a moron, let it go brother.
