So I'll just assume you have a case of PEV envy. As do > all the other Acura dealers. Maybe when you get the all new NSX V8...but > then there will still be the cost issue. > > And the funny thing is, many Corvette enthusiasts slammed the new design > saying it looked to much like the NSX. Would that make your NSX a PEV? :-) Both the NSX and Corvette look similar but in my opinion the NSX takes the cake. The Corvette looks like its made of plastic and contrary to what you say the NSX outperforms the Corvette in every catagory. Hell it only lags behind the Viper RT10 by .5 sec (0-60). Where's the Corvette???? The NSX handles better too. Sorry but import car companies like Porsche and Honda can do with little engines what the Big Three must do with giant oversized big blocks. A prime example is the 240 Hp Honda S2000. Can you say 4 banger. The reason that the Corvette looks so much like the NSX is because Chevy realized that the NSX was a good looking car with a great performance record and if you can't build a car to beat it you might as well build one that looks a hell of a lot like it. As for the V8 NSX, it will probably be a Viper killer and will be $30,000 to $40,000 cheaper than the current NSX because it won't be aluminum. I know what you viper lovers are thinking "A car that is faster and cheaper, what will we do?" Since the NSX is sold in low numbers and is made with an "exotic" material it will more than likely raise in value. This brings me to the point that in 10 or 15 or even 100 years down the line the current corvette will still be less of a collectors item, and therefore less expensive, than the current NSX.
