Subject: Which power steering fluid to use in a 90-900T system?

I have just had my power steering rack rebuilt for my 1990 900 turbo, and now come upon the dilemma of which oil to use. SAAB here in Australia charge $26 for 750ml of the yellow fluid, which is ridiculous. I have tried Castrol power steering fluid but find that the system is noisy, with lots of bubbles forming in the resevoir. Sometimes the system is quiet and functions perfectly (most often after a noisy session, switch off, let stand for a while, restart) and sometimes it is very loud indeed. I can only assume it's the fluid. No-one can tell me here in Australia what the equivalent to GM9985010 or Texaco TL4364 is. Those fluids are recommended but apparently do not exist here. Even General Motors-Holden head office cannot tell me a local equivalent part number for GM9985010. SAAB tell you that you HAVE to use the magic yellow fluid. Is there a genuine reason? I'm having a tough time accepting that a Saginaw 3000 rack and Saginaw pump are any different from anyone else's. And none of the oil companies here can tell me an equivalent either.... apparently the yellow fluid is in the same category as military secrets. I don't fancy blowing $50 of the yellow oil to flush out the system and then using another $50 worth to fill it up. Can anyone recommend a fluid that I can pick up in Sydney? An equivalent to the GM or Texaco oils listed in my handbook but cannot locate? There has to be a better way! -- Alcohol and calculus don't mix.
