Check if you a have a spark. If not you have some more information. If you do it could still be coming at the wrong time, but I doubt that it would change that much over the night, so my guess would be that you don't get gas to the engine. I had the same problem once on my 9000cs -92, and it turned out to be the fuel pump. Pretty expensive I think (~$350). I ran the car to work, but when I was supposed to go home nothing happened and I had not gotten any kind of warning in advance.....
