Subject: Saab automatics and RPM

This is a question about Saab automatics transmissions in general and '92s specifically. Many people say that the older 3-speed autos are undesirable due to their inability to sustain high speeds without high RPM levels. What RPMs do owners see at 75 mph or higher? I know with our '85 900T 5-speed, we consistently run 3200 RPM at 75, and 3500 or a little higher at 85 in 5th, both of which are acceptable. Is the automatic going to run much higher than this?
