Alan, I have a '84 900T that started with the puffs of smoke and it was about another 6 months before the turbo finally went. I have not heard of a repair kit for the turbo. Are you thinking of perhaps an "installation hardware kit"? My mechanic installed a turbo from a junk yard Saab and it is still going strong after 4 years.
